Dennis Worthy was born May12, 1964, in Atlanta, GA to Alana Worthy and Leroy Battle, who preceded him in death. Dennis grew up in North West Atlanta. He attended Booker T. Washington High School and graduated from Atlanta Street Academy. He furthered his education by attending Atlanta Technical College where he received dual degrees in Culinary Arts and Bartending.
He was employed with Atlanta Journal and Constitution for a numbers of years. In 1992, he met the girl of his dream, Deneen and they raised a blended family. Dennis later became on entrepreneur in opening a clothing boutique called, “I Gotcha” clothing store.
He was very instrumental in giving back to the community and decided to host an annual back to school giveaway each year for the children in the community. This was his favorite charity because he loved to see children pursuing an education and having supplies to do so. Dennis had many of hobbies which included spending time with family and friends, dancing with his groups, “Cracker Back” and “Cut Master” cooking and roller skating. On July 14, 2018, Dennis made a transition from Earth to Eternal.
He leaves to cherish a loving wife, Deneen, children, Taylor Worther, Laquita Pressley, Taquila Sheets, Erica Miles (Thaddeus), Erica Taylor, Alisia Evans, Denise Stodghill, Tanyaun Taylor (Dikia), Dakota Stadghill, Y’tivia Taylor, Dennis Worthy Jr. 43 grandkids, 1 great grand. Mother-in-law; Joanne Taylor. Four sister-in-laws and one brother in law. Step sister Kayarrow Hann. God sister Adrain Bailey. God brother Reginal Brown, Rodney Smith and a host of nieces, nephews and other family, and friends.
