Marvin R. Bell, known to his friends as “Haircut,” passed awaypeacefully on September 20, 2018 at Harbor Grace Hospice at the age of 66. He was born to Mary and the late Marvin Bell on February 2, 1952. He attended Atlanta Public Schools where he was an alumnus of Brooker T. Washington High School. He was employed by Blount Construction Company where he aided in building some of the major highways of Atlanta. At an early age, he became known for his comedic sense of humor and many talents including cooking, which he used to make a positive influence in the lives of others.
Mr. Bell is survived by, the love of his life of 49 years, Antoinette; his loving daughters: Octavia Wilson, Shuntia Lanes, Titesha Lanes, Taqueta Lanes, Miesha Lanes, and Shandrea (Derrick) White; 8 devoted siblings, of whom he was the eldest: Ronnie B. Bell, Norris (Regina) Bell, Cannlene Bell, William F. Bell (Tiny), Bernice Bell, Monica Bell, Marilyn (Robert) Head, and Jamey (Lisa) Bell; 14 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren, and a host of family and friends who will forever cherish their memories of him.
