Lena Mae Grant the first child of five to the union of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ned Grant. She was born on September 22, 1928 in Milton county.
She attended Washington High School. She joined Saint James United Methodist in Alpharetta Ga. At an early age, she was choir member, a bible school teacher, a member of the women's Christian society and church secretary.
She loved God, she loved all of her children, she loved life until the end. She was a nurturer, and a brave and courageous women. She was a light in darkness and hope for tomorrow. On Wednesday evening June 14, 2017, she made her great escape into God's heavenly and loving arms.
She is survived by two daughters, Evangelist Barbara G. Hammond and Sherrie D. Grant, one son Mr. Rodney S. Grant, one daughter-in-law, Twanda Grant, sister-in-law, Alice M. Grant and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends
