Mrs. Maggie Mae Wilson was born July 1, 1929 in Athens, Georgia to the late Bennie and Rachael Anderson. The Lord called Maggie Mae home on August 12, 2017.
She was raised Maggie Mae Anderson, the youngest of four children. She attended Atlanta Public Schools where she worked with disabled children. Additionally, she was a devoted cook for many historical restaurants in Atlanta for over two decades, one in particular known as the famous Teddy Bear Grill of Westview, Atlanta. She would go on to marry Mr. Pete Wilson.
Mrs. Wilson was a dedicated Christian who loved the Lord. She attended Alter House of Prayer Church of Reverend Albert Mobely and Second Mount Vernon Baptist Church, where she was baptized. While at Second Mount Vernon, she was a member of the Sunbeam Usher Board and Usher Board #2. During her elder years, she faithfully watched WATC channel 57 where she praised God daily.
Amongst the things she enjoyed was watching the WCW and WWE, both of which she was a big fan, and spending time with her family, including her grandchildren and great grandchildren, whom she adored.
Maggie Mae was predeceased by an older brother and older sister, her husband Pete, her son Donald, and her daughters Doreen and Rachel.
She leaves to cherish her memory her sister Mattie Pearl Anderson; two children, Theodosia (Jerry) Prater and James (Martha) Wilson; six grandchildren, Kenneth, Marcus (Erica), Jerrica (Michael), Andre, Victoria and Tamia; seven great- grandchildren, Samiya, Rue, Nairobi, Cason, Braxton, Messiah, and Mya; and one Godson, Eddie, and a collection of other family members and a collection of friends that made her journey of life meaningful.
