Elder Sharon Burke was born to William and Jimmy Lee Stiggers on January 24, 1943. She was lovingly reared by Willie and Mildred Williams.
Sharon was educated in the Fulton County School System and obtained her LPN Certification (License Practical Nurse) from Atlanta Area Tech in 1982. Sharon was a lifelong learner, later pursing and earning an Associate’s Degree in Healthcare Management in 2008.
She was ordained as an Elder by 1989 and was lovingly referred to as Momma Burke. She was momma to many and reared several in ministry. She loved and served the Lord, and cared for others until her very last breath.
She was preceded in death by Melvin E. Lenon (1966), Deacon Alfred Burke Jr. (2013), her son, Lil’ Melvin Lenon (1961), and granddaughter, Tori Nikkole Burke (2001).
She leaves to cherish seven children: Dedra Mobley, LanardLenon, Lingtoya Dozier (Patrick), Marque Lenon (Michelle), Alfred Burke III (Pamela), Shandur Burke (Kerri), and La-Tisha Burke; 22 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grand; Sisters: Flo, Carolyn, Janice, Joyce, Gloria and one brother, Calvin.
