Mother Mary Scott Obituary

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Her kindness, generosity, and unwavering spirit touched the lives of everyone around her. She will be remembered for her dedication to her loved ones and their community, leaving behind a legacy of compassion and warmth. Though her absence leaves a profound void, her memory will live on in our hearts forever,

She leaves behind three sons, William Daniel Scott, Brian Delaney Scott and Steven Scott-Smith, along with ten grandchildren. She was the eldest child of Wilbert and Mattie B. Roberson **Mary Ann, Mattie, Wilbert, Jr., Faheem, Marguerite and Marie (deceased), Mechelle, Gerry Allen and Darius, Woods and Anthony, Kevin, Darrell, James, Eric and Carla Roberson - and she was truly a Big Sister to all of us.

She accepted Christ at five years old at St. John Baptist Church. However, she was trained in Christ and became GREAT at Zion Unity Baptist Church.  She later served at Friendship Baptist Church before moving to Georgia and was a current member of Cornerstone Baptist Church.

She was a ‘1968’ graduate of Arsenal Technical High School and attended Indiana University and studied Business Administration. She worked a variety of administrative jobs before retiring.  She served her church and everyone using her Gift of Service.
