Mr. Amos Stiggers Obituary

Amos “Pop” Stiggers Jr was born July 17, 1947, in Atlanta, GA to the late Amos Stiggers and Carrie Jennings Stiggers. He was the second of 9 children and enjoyed life. He was baptized at an early age at Community Baptist Church in Atlanta, GA. 


Pop received his education in the Atlanta Public School System attending H.R. Butler Elementary and Howard High School. He entered the work force at an early age. He worked hard and diligently for Lockheed and Lucent Technologies (Western Electric). He retired early from Alcatel Lucent Technologies. Amos entered holy matrimony with the Late Brenda Moore Stiggers during his younger years.


Pop was laid back and loved to dress in his debonair attire. He enjoyed being around his family and friends. He had a love for sports and enjoyed cooking.
Pop was called home to be with our Lord on July 27, 2020 at his home.


Amos was preceded in death by his parents Amos and Carrie Stiggers; son, Reginald D. Brown; brothers Roy, Gerald, Morris, Mike, and Rodney. He leaves to cherish his memories his children, Tonya Renea Stiggers, Andre B. Stiggers, Sherman A. Coleman, and Charva P. Poole (Sedrick); grandchildren, Reginald D. Brown Jr., Ciara Poole, Michaiah Israel, and Brendin Poole; great-grandchildren, Arianna, Amanni, Kymbrelle, Rayelle, Kaiben, and Jayla; sister Carolyn Willis; brothers Terrence and Drexel Stiggers; uncle Tolbert Jennings; special God Brothers, Richard Mason Jr. and Wayne Collins; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors, and friend
