Blakely Lewis Worthy was born on July 10, 1952, in East Point, GA to Gregory Worthy and Rogurdis Jones-Worthy. He grew up in East Point, GA and attended South Fulton High School before moving to the West End, where he graduated from Joe E. Brown High School. Blakely worked various jobs before enlisting in the US Armed Forces, where he served his country with pride and dedication. After his service, he met and married Carol Angela Jackson (preceded in death). Their union was blessed with a daughter. Interment Georgia National Cemetery,1080 Scott Hudgens Dr., Canton, GA 30114. Blakely leaves behind his wife, Carolyn Harrington Worthy; sisters Mary Gomes and Anne White; daughter Keosha Worthy; stepdaughter, Mrs. Monique Butler; four grandchildren, Kyla, Tanisha, Michael, and Michela; and a host of friends and relatives.
