Mr. John Solomon Banks

John Solomon Banks was born on January 31, 1952 to Marion Banks and Ella Ruth Banks. He received his early childhood education from Smith B. Elementary School in Henry County.  He graduated from Henry County High School in 1969.

John was an all-around sportsman. He loved to fish, hunt and anything else that had to do with nature. At a young age, John became a member of the Jehovah Witness faith. He worked for 36 years for Emory University as a painter.

John married Turenia on October 22, 1979. They were married for 45 years. John Solomon Banks entered into eternal rest on October 4, 2025. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marion and Ella Ruth Banks; two sisters, Roberta and Laura; and two brothers, Marion Jr. and Jimmie Lee Banks.

He leaves to cherish his memory, wife, Turenia; two brothers, Alvin Banks and Willis Ponder; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
