Jonathan Wayne Davis, Sr., 59, of Rex, Georgia, went home to be with the Lord on July 16, 2021.
Jonathan was born to the late Albert and Annie Davis, Sr., on July 20, 1961, in Bridgeton, New Jersey. He was preceded in death by both his father, Albert Davis, Sr., mother, Annie Pearl Davis (Dairsow), and two sisters, Vanessa Davis and Betty Johnson.
He attended Bridgeton High school. He was employed at the Anchor Hocking company, worked in construction in New Jersey, and worked in construction and for CSX in Georgia. He was a man of God who worshiped and served in the Kingdom of God for many churches over the course of his life; he was an exceptional gospel musician who had the gift of playing by ear. Jonathan was cool, laid back, loving, funny, stubborn, protective of his family, and always well-groomed, making sure he was well put together and his hair was just right. He enjoyed fishing, listening to and playing music, riding his motorcycle, and spending time with his grandchildren.
Leaving to cherish his loving memory are: his sisters, Beverly Force (Edward), Tammy Davis-Thomas (Spelling) (Aaron); brothers, Albert Davis, Jr., and Tracey Davis; children, Tanoah Durham, Jonathan Davis, Jr. (Latrice Davis), and Harmoni Davis (Mondarius Brown); grandchildren, Noah Durham, Hezekiah Page, Justice Culpepper, Jordan Davis, Jonathan Davis III, Joshua Davis, Journey Davis, and Serenity Brown.
