Mr. Kenneth Young Obituary

Today we gather to honor and remember a life that, while it may feel like it ended too soon, was full, full of love, laughter, personality, and purpose. We celebrate Kenneth Joel Young, KJ to some, and "Juicy" to his family: a devoted, loving, and affectionate son, a cherished brother, loving nephew, a beloved cousin, and a young man whose presence left a lasting imprint on everyone who had the privilege to know him.

KJ wasn’t just someone you knew, he was someone you felt. He had a way of making people feel seen, valued, and loved. His affection wasn’t hidden or complicated; it was open, real, and consistent. Whether through a hug, a joke, or just his presence, KJ reminded you that you mattered.

He was also hilarious, naturally so. The kind of person who could lighten any room without even trying. His humor wasn’t forced; it was who he was. And even in moments when life felt heavy, KJ had a gift of bringing lightness back into the atmosphere.

But beyond the laughter was a person who truly cared. KJ had a deep love for the women in his family. He protected, honored, and showed up for them in ways that spoke louder than words. His love wasn’t passive, it was intentional. It was in how he checked in, how he supported, and how he made sure the women in his life knew they were valued.

KJ was also driven. A self-made entrepreneur, he believed in building something for himself. He had vision, determination, and the courage to go after what he wanted. He didn’t wait for permission, he created his own path.

And if you knew KJ, you knew this truth: at any given moment, you could probably find him doing one of two things, sleeping or dancing. And somehow, both fit him perfectly. He knew how to rest, and he knew how to celebrate life. But no matter what he was doing, one thing was always constant, you would find him smiling.

That smile… it’s what so many of us will carry with us. It was warm, genuine, and unforgettable. It reflected the heart of a man who chose joy, who gave love freely, and who lived authentically.

Though we grieve today, we also give thanks. We thank God for the time we had with Kenneth. For the memories, the laughter, the lessons, and the love. His life reminds us to love harder, laugh louder, support one another deeply, and never take a single moment for granted.

Kenneth Joel Young may no longer be with us physically, but his spirit lives on, in every memory, every laugh we share about him, and every moment we choose love because of what he showed us.

Rest well, "Juicy". You were deeply loved. You will always be remembered. And your smile will never be forgotten.
