Mr. Leon West, Jr Obituary

Leon West Jr. “Junie” was born Thursday, January 11, 1968 in Los Angeles, CA. to Marjorie Ephriam-West and Leon West Sr. Junie’s life unfortunately came to an end on Tuesday, September 9, 2025  at 6:23 pm in Newnan, GA.

Junie first gave himself to Christ at the age of 7 and became a member of Great Ebenezer Baptist Church in Los Angeles. At the age of 14, Junie was hit by a car and was seriously injured. At that moment he realized he didn’t understand the purpose of his first baptism, so after studying with a minister, he decided to be rebaptized and rededicate his life to the Lord as a new member of the Southside Church of Christ.

Years later the family moved from California to Atlanta GA and that's where Junie spent the remainder of his life. Junie’s biggest achievement is becoming a published author with the debut of his book “Kon Nok.” Junie has numerous unreleased books that the family plans to publish in his honor.
