Lewis Andrew Harris, Jr. was born on February 21, 1969, at Fort McPherson Military Base in Atlanta, Georgia. From that beginning, his life remained rooted in Atlanta — a city that held his footsteps, his questions, his growth, and ultimately his farewell. Andrew completed his earthly journey on December 10, 2025, at the age of 56. Andrew was a kind and joyful presence, known for his laughter and quiet humor. He carried an ease about him — a way of softening moments simply by being himself. He lived by his own rules and trusted his own understanding of the world. Andrew was an explorer — not of places alone, but of ideas, thoughts, and meaning. He questioned convention, challenged custom, and followed curiosity wherever it led. Tradition never confined him; reflection guided him. Creativity was woven into Andrew’s spirit. He was an artist in his own right, expressing himself through handcrafted jewelry, carefully designed greeting cards, and personal journals that became lifelong companions. He began journaling at the age of 13, documenting not only his days, but his inner world — a place rich with thought, wonder, and discovery. Reading, music, nature, international travel, and meditation brought him peace and connection, offering spaces where his mind could wander freely and his soul could rest. Andrew is survived by his father, Mr. Lewis Andrew Harris, Sr. (Patricia); his brother, Quentin Harris (Raquel); his cherished nieces, Quincy and Quinn Harris; and a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and many dear friends who will carry his memory forward. He was preceded in death by his mother, Reverend Sylvia H. Meredith, whose presence shaped his earliest days.
