Ray Anthony Lewis Sr. was born on January 13, 1959 from the union of Willie Donnie and Mildred Jean Lewis. In 1966 Ray and his family moved to Chicago, Illinois. As a young man he attended First Bethel Missionary Baptist Church where he was baptized. Ray was a student at Sinn High School and later attended Truman College. In 1979 Ray met his soulmate Jayne “Mickey”. The two came together as one in 1985. To this union they had two children Latoia and Ray Jr. While living in Chicago, Ray was employed by Bell and Howell. In 1998 Ray and his family relocated to Atlanta, Georgia. Ray enjoyed spending time with his family, traveling, fishing, hanging out with friends and having a good time. While in Atlanta Ray worked for Fulton County and the City of Atlanta Department of Watershed Management until his untimely departure.

Ray was preceded in death by his father Willie D Lewis Sr., his mother Mildred J Smith, and sister Rita Lewis Donley. Ray leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife Jayne “Mickey” Lewis, his daughter Latoia (Carlos) Head, his son Ray (Jazmin) Lewis Jr., his granddaughters Kaijah, Skai, Alexandria “Dria” and Zoey, his two sisters Mynetha Knight and Patricia Williamson, his four brothers Willie D. Lewis Jr., David Lewis, Edgar Smith, and Derrick Smith, two mothers-in-law Eunice Foster and Doris Jenkins, three brother in-laws, three sister in-laws. A host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Ray was truly loved and will be missed. We will never say goodbye, but until we meet again.
