Robert C. Head (Fat Head) was born on April 25, 1964, to the late Mr. Robert and Barbara Head in High Point Community inAtlanta, GA. He was the youngest of 3 and their only son. The love of God was instilled in him at an early age when his parent Christen him at Bowen Methodist Church. He began his education Wheat Street Baptist Church. There he completed grades Kindergarten- 2nd grade. He transferred to TullwaterElementary school where he met lifelong friends, Danny & Ricky. After graduating from the 7th grade, he attended Fulton High School in Jonesboro North community. Robert was a standout football player throughout his high career. His senior year (1982) he was recognized in the 47th Annual Sport Jamboree as the Defensive Player of the Year. He graduated with a full scholarship to Mississippi Valley State College. He studied Business Management and was roommates with Jerry Rice, former NFL wide receiver. After completing college, Robert took an interest in the trucking industry. He started a new career with Thomas Concrete company. He was awarded Safety Driver for 31 years. He retired in 2015.
In 1999, Robert met his wife Marilyn. After dating for 6 years, they got married in 2005. The love of football and music brought them together. In this union they had 7 kids: Reandria(Antonio), Keith, LaTora (Shepard), Dontavious, Detorrius, Ny’liece & Ay’liece. 8 grandchildren, 2 sisters: Janice (Robert) Leslie, Pamela Head (deceased), Uncle David (Essie) Thomas, Michael (Bernice, deceased) Riley, Nieces: Zimica and Pecata, Nephews: Demond and Pernardo, closest friends: Danny Robinson, Ricky McKenzie, Melvin Lancaster, & Pamela Oliver, a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
He was dedicated to being a positive influence on and off the football field. He coached recreational football and transition to high school football at Tri-Cities High School from 2008-2010.
