Mr. Ronnie Massenburg Obituary

Sergeant Ronnie R. Massenburg, 66, was born in Robersonville, North Carolina, to the late Henry Thomas Massenburg and Mary Durham Massenburg on December 22, 1958.  He transitioned this life on May 30, 2025.  Ron, as he was often called, had a heart for taking care of others, so much so that he joined the Army right out of high school.  He was a member of the 82nd Airborne Division.  Ron dedicated his life to serving his country and helping others.  He loved his country and his family. 

He leaves to cherish his memory his daughter Sheleta M. George (Zachary) of Rocky Mount NC, her mother Joyce Massenburg of Rocky Mount NC, 3 grandchildren Daniel George, Dalen Eure, and Danyeil Massenburg of Rocky Mount NC, 3 sisters Linda Blount of Atlanta Georgia, Gloria Gorham (Elton) of Robersonville NC, Estella Barnes (John) of Bethel, NC, 2 brothers Victor Massenburg of Bethel, NC, David Massenburg (Tracey) of Parmele, NC, Katina Massenburg his special niece of Rocky Mount NC, Ethel Wilcox his special friend of the home, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. 

He was preceded in death by his Mother, Mary Durham Massenburg, Father, Henry Massenburg, four Sisters, Rachel Blount, Mary L. Massenburg, Vivian Blount, and Mable Massenburg, and two brothers, John Massenburg and Dalton Massenburg.
