Mrs. Sarah Mae (Evans) Jackson

Mrs. Sarah Mae Jackson was born on March 9, 1934, in Atlanta, Georgia to Calum Evans and Viola Evans. Mrs. Sarah Mae Jackson was the second of four children.

Her favorite thing was cooking. She was a great cook and made sure everyone ate good. She was a very strong willed lady. 

Mrs. Sarah Mae Jackson departed this life for eternal rest on Saturday, September 18, 2021. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Viola Evans and Calum Evans; two sisters, Charlotte Johnson and Reverend Dr. Margaret Winfrey Richardson; one brother, John Wills Evans “Lil’ Bruh”; and husband, Laymon A. Jackson, Jr. 

She leaves to cherish her memories, her daughters, Katrinka Jackson Davis (Robert), Valarie Jackson, Alicia Hinton (Everett Colvin), and Weonna Jackson; one son, Anthony C. Jackson (Monnikesha R. Edwards); seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; niece, Rita Steward; and nephew, B.J. Winfrey. She will be missed dearly.
