Mrs. Victoria Williams Obituary

On June 30, 2019 at 8:07am, Victoria (Allen) Williams was called home to be with the Lord after an eight-month battle with breast cancer. Victoria was born May 12, 1959 in Chicago, Illinois to Johnnie Lee Allen and Laura Ruth (Odell) Allen, both of whom have transitioned. She was the 5th of eight siblings, two of which proceeded her in transitioning, John Allen and Candace Allen.

Victoria attended Whitney Young High School, the same school that was attended by former First Lady Michelle Obama, and was in the first graduating class. She attended Georgia Perimeter College where she received an Associates Degree in General Science and she also attended Clayton State University and graduated with a dual Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Human Services.

Victoria spent the last 17 years working as a Pro Sales Associate at Home Depot, where she received numerous awards and accolades for her superb customer service and sales skills. However, she probably would have been an outstanding detective, criminal investigator, or profiler based on her affinity for crime TV.

Victoria had a strong passion for cooking and helping, sheltering, feeding, and offering gifts to others. She also had a passion for plants, so much so that she became a certified plant technician and botanist, and the owner of a plethora of plants.

Victoria was also a foodie to her heart and enjoyed trying new restaurants and going to the movies with her Husband O’Delle and baby boy O’Delle David. She also enjoyed traveling the world and being adventurous with whom she called her “most excellent daughter” and best friend, Sophia.

Victoria leaves to forever cherish her memory her loving husband O’Delle Williams, daughter Sophia, son O’Delle David Williams, and grandson Charlie. Victoria is also survived her sisters Barbara Brown and Christine Allen; brothers Rev. Ricardo Allen, Billy Allen, and Laurence Allen; son-in-law Charles, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, dear friends, and co-workers.

2 Corinthians 5:8

We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.
