Zebbera “Zebbie” Logan-Range was born on May 13, 1957 in Starkville, Mississippi to Nola L. Williams (Leroy-deceased) and the late Robert Hall. At the age of three, Zebbie moved to Chicago, Illinois where she attended grammar school at Walter Q. Gresham and advanced to Simeon Vocational High School where she graduated in 1975. She spent most of her childhood summers in Starkville and after graduating high school she returned to visit family here. Zebbie attended Miller Hawkins Business College in Memphis, TN. A few years later she returned to Mississippi to attend the MS University for Women, aka “The W”, majoring in the nursing program. Later in life, she decided to move to Atlanta, GA on a new adventure.
She confessed in Christ at an early age at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church in Chicago, IL under the leadership of the late Rev. Henry Simpson, Sr. Zebbie transitioned from this life on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at the age of 64.
She leaves to cherish her memories are husband Jerome “Jake” Range; son, Dexter L. Brown; daughter, Shemeca (Gregory, II) Samuel; all of Atlanta, GA and son, Fred (Evonne) Logan, Sr. of Tanzania, Africa; four loving grandchildren; Gregory III and Penelope Rose of Atlanta, GA; and Fred, Jr. and Luke Christian of Tanzania, Africa; a loving mother, Nola Williams of Chicago, IL; Sisters; Vanessa Williams of Chicago, IL; Margaret (George) Jackson of Thatcher, AZ; Kimberly (Darryl) Hall of Gardenia, CA; Joy (Byron) Hall-Alonzo of Cerritos, CA; Nicole (Christopher) Dotson of Artesia, CA and brother Darrin (Crystal) Hall of Great Mills, MA.; Step-son, J’Quare Range; Step-daughter, Nakita (Corey) Harrison; one step-granddaughter, Niyara; two step-grandsons, Jalen and Chase; one step-great grandson, Juwaan, Jr. all of Atlanta, GA; and a host of aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Also cherishing her memories are Charles (Monique) Young, Jr., of Chicago, IL; Dexter Brown and Larry Hood both of Atlanta, GA.
