Cynthia Renee Mitchell was born on November 28, 1972 in Manhattan, New York to Victoria Braziel and the late Anthony McGill. Cynthia was raised by her parents, the late Queen and Lloyd Peterson in Columbia, South Carolina who both preceded her in death. She is preceded in death by Annie Mae (Albert) Moody and Delphia McGill, grandparents; brother, Michael Peterson.
Cynthia received formal education in Columbia, South Carolina Public School System and graduated from Dreher High School in 1991. Cynthia went on to further her education at Midlands Technical College in healthcare administration. She worked as a healthcare administrator for over 25 years in Hartford, Connecticut. Her last employer was Mansfield Family Practice. She was looking forward to cultivating her new career in stock trading before she passed but God needed her for a bigger plan.
Renee as she was affectionately called by her family and close friends enjoyed her life to the fullest. She enjoyed traveling, singing, dancing, and family most importantly. Renee’s greatest accomplishments are her beloved sons, Demauri, Kaseem and her grandson Kamauri whom she adored with all her heart. She loved her siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who undoubtedly will truly miss her presence.
Renee leaves to cherish her memories: her mother and step father Victoria and Dale Braziel of Las Vegas, Nevada; two sons, Damauri Fairley of Charlotte, NC, Kaseem Fairley of New York, NY; grandson, Kamauri Fairley of Hartford Connecticut; three sisters, Theresa Kelly of Manhattan, New York, Shantell Marshall Randall of Akron, Ohio and Quasia McGill of Manhattan, New York; two brothers, Leroy Peterson of Columbia, SC and Robert Emar Mitchell of Poughkeepsie, New York; a dear friend, Troy Evans of Columbia, SC; Godmother, Daniece Eley of Raleigh, NC. Renee has a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, close cousins, and friends who will miss her dearly!
