Ms. Vonetta DeShawn Guffie

Vonetta Deshawn Guffie, affectionately known as “Laa-Laa,” was born on May 30, 1973 to Charles Guffie and Cheryl Jones in Atlanta, Ga, where she resided until she departed this life on Wednesday, July 14, 2021. She was proceeded in death by her mother.

In 1991, Vonetta graduated from Southside Highschool. Shebelieved in the Lord and attended Atlanta Metropolitan Cathedral in Atlanta, Ga. 

Vonetta was a lover of people and her community. She was willing to help and be there for anyone that she came in contact with. She devoted her life to taking care of her children & grandchildren, while being sure to always have their fronts and backs with everything in her. “Laa-Laa” made it her priority to be there for her community of Mechanicsville, where she loved to cook for her family and feed anyone in need.

 Vonetta leaves to cherish her memories, her father, Charles Guffie “Honey Pie,” children Quantavious Guffie (Deven), Tynisha Guffie, Vonetta Guffie, Leonard Guffie, Juwana Guffie, Shanquayvious Holland, and Taquaveous Holland. Her grandchildren Quanisha, Armoni, London, Aiyana, Canari, Mariah, Roderick, and Tyler. Her siblings Kenyette, Amber, Jackie, Derrick, Sharon, Rodney, Rickey, Tyrone, Roslyn, Patricia, Terrence, and Tina; a host of extended children, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, and her community of Mechanicsville, Ga.
