I want to offer my condolences to the Cofield family and friends. It is a painful thing to lose a love one in death; even Jesus, when Lazarus died, "gave way to tears"(John 11:35). Our Creator calls death an enemy and has promised to eliminate this enemy permanently, “ the last enemy, death, is to be brought to nothing” (1Corinthians 15:26). He also promises at Isaiah 26:19"Your dead will rise...Awake joyfully you residents in the dust! ...the earth will let those powerless in death come to life". I hope these words give you comfort.

I am very sorry for your loss. I would like to share a scripture that I hope brings you comfort during this difficult time. "The hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out." -John 5:28. This scripture shows that God has promised to restore the dead to life by the means of the resurrection. You have the prospect of being reunited with loved ones right here on earth but under very different conditions! For additional encouraging information please visit www.jw.org

It pains our Creator, too, and he has promised to bring our love one back to life at Isaiah 26:19 "Your dead will rise ...Awake joyfully you residents in the dust! ...the earth will let those powerless in death come to life" then "he will swallow up death forever …"(Isaiah 25:8). I hope these words give you comfort.
