A Celebration of Live…Remembering Wayne

On Wednesday, December 20, 2017, our beloved, WAYNE HUNTER CARROLL was suddenly called home to be with The Lord.  Wayne was born on February 11, 1963 to Patricia S. Carroll and to the late Hunter Carroll, Jr., in Washington, DC.  He was educated in Washington, DC at Assumption Catholic School (Grades 1-8), from Mackin Catholic High School, and graduated from Marycrest College, in Davenport, Iowa.

Wayne returned to DC and was employed with the Library of Congress, in the Accounting Department.  He inherited his work ethic from his parent and often woke before sunrise!

Wayne’s life changed with the birth of his dedicated Son – Christopher (1991) and his devoted Daughter – Shelina (1993).  He encouraged and directed them along the way!

In 2007, Wayne relocated to Atlanta GA, where he connected with the Atlanta Union Mission (AUM) and was delivered from life challenges – in a mighty way!  While in Atlanta, Aunt Rhonda selflessly looked out for Wayne and made sure he enjoyed Sunday Family Meals as she promised her sister (Wayne’s Mom) back in DC!  As the AUM led the way, Wayne found and wholeheartedly joined The Kingdom of God (KOG) International Ministry, in College Park, GA.

In February 2008 Wayne met and married – the love of his life – and a fellow KOG Member – Patricia Ann Carroll!  He diligently served as a dedicated Usher, Communion Steward, Men’s Ministry Member, Trustee Board Member, and on the Intercessory Prayer Ministry.  He was very, very, very faithful in everything that he did – in life and in ministry!  Wayne worshiped The Lord with joy and gladness and would “Clap The Roof Off The…” with all his MIGHT!  He even joked about hosting a Hand Clapping class at the KOG!

While in Atlanta, Wayne started his Ministry with his Kingdom Style Lawn Care business and worked with a fierce dedication to grooming yards until his health changed.

Wayne was a DIE HARD WASHINGTON REDSKINS Football Fan and loved the Washington Nationals Baseball Team…and he took every loss to heart!

In the summer of 2017, Wayne joined True Life Ministries located in East Point, Georgia under the leadership of Pastor Gregory Hughes.

He was preceded in death by his beloved Father, Hunter Carroll and Sister, Diane Carroll.

Proverbs 10:7 tells us that the memory of a good person is a blessing.  He leaves to cherish his memory:  devoted wife, Patricia A.; beloved Mother, Patricia S.; Mother-in-Law, Joann; Son, Christopher; Daughters, Shelina, Rockiea, and Shanequa; Grandaughter, Rakiya (Kiya); Godson, Warren Henry, III; Aunts, Rhonda, Stacee, Gail, Nellie, Julie; Uncles, Stencer, Jon, Mark; Brothers, Aaron [Ron] (Adrienne), Hunter Duane; Sisters, Cynthia, Debra, Kellie, Regina (Michael), and Cynthia Denise (Bruce); along with a loving host of cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews; a Spiritual Father, Brother Eugene Russell; a Spiritual Sister, Laurie Edwards; Minister Denise Taylor; Pastor Carolyn Dolphus, and many other life-long friends.
