Welcome to the memorial page for

Mrs. Alberta Lippitt

December 9, 1939 ~ November 25, 2017 (age 77) 77 Years Old

Alberta King Lippitt, was born to the late Mr. & Mrs. Cleve (Daisy B) King, on December 9, 1939 in Cordele, GA. She was one of 13 children born in this union, and all were received a gift from God. Alberta and her siblings grew up in a warm and loving home with great parents.

She attended C.W. Hill Elementary School and continued her education at David T. Howard High in Atlanta, GA. At an early age she joined Little Friendship Baptist Church in Atlanta, GA as an active soprano member in the choir.

She later met her “BOAZ”, the man of her dreams, Mr. William Oliver Lippitt, Sr. and were united in Holy Matrimony, and was blessed with three children, Margaret Louise King, William Oliver Lippitt, Jr., who proceeded her in death and Charlette King Neely. She was a loving and devoted mother.

She was employed by Marshall & Bell Pharmacy in Atlanta, GA for over fifteen years. She went on to pursue a career in Healthcare at Colony Medical Group at Colony Square for 10 years. After leaving the healthcare field, she sparked a new interest as an “Au Pair”, in the private sector taking care of all ethnicity. After working with children for over thirty years, she retired and started her own,” Nana’s Academy” in her home from ages (0-6yrs). The children loved her dearly. She was not a sitter, she was an “Educator” and poured a lot into her kids. When they started the private and or public schools, all children were above grade levels and today every one of them are all “A” students. Her passion was her babies.

Alberta, later moved her membership to Peace Baptist Church under the Direction and Leadership of Pastor Tyrone Barnette, where she was an Honorary member of the Mothers of Zion dance ministry. She often would join them with outreach ministries at other churches, and supported the My Sister’s House Ministry whenever they were scheduled to serve.

She desperately had a desire to work at Peace Baptist in the children’s ministry, however her health continued to decline. Her hobbies were collecting premier movies, dancing, sewing, attending social gatherings, word puzzles and  watching television.

Alberta leaves behind two daughters, Margaret Louise King and Charlette Neeley; son in law, Nathaniel Neeley; two sisters, Margaret L. Norwood and Betty J. King; eleven grandchildren, La Tangela Streety (Michael), Michael King, William King, Vanity Oldacre (Adonijah), Keandra Huff, Brittany Neeley, Tamara Rencher, Montavis Huff, Ashley Rencher, Rico Huff, Natalie Neeley and twenty-four great grandchildren; three Best Friends, Mrs. Jessie Mason, Mrs. Shirley Dennis and Mrs. Cora Heath and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
