Welcome to the memorial page for

Ms. Linda C. Fain

April 15, 1952 ~ July 26, 2015 (age 63) 63 Years Old

Ms. Linda C. Fain was born May 15, 1952 in Rome, Georgia to the late James Strickland and Fannie Mae Strickland.  She received her education at East Rome High School. She worked diligently at Coosa Bakery Company in Rome, GA where she also retired.  She then went back to work and double retired from the Marriott Marquis in Atlanta, GA.

Ms. Linda joined Thankful Baptist Church of Rome, GA and accepted Christ at an early age under the leadership of Rev. Orlando B. Yates.  After moving to Atlanta she finally found and joined a church home away from home becoming a faithful member of Beulah Baptist Church of Decatur, GA under the leadership of Rev. Jerry W. Black.

Ms. Linda was known as a strong minded individual.  She never met a stranger often demonstrating love in a giving manner.  She had her own way of expressing love and you had to know her for yourself to understand this expression.  She meant well in everything she did, often found saying: “I didn’t mean no harm yall” , “Come on, don’t be mad at me”.

On July 26, 2015 she departed her family.  She was preceded in death by her father James Strickland, mother Fannie Mae Strickland, her great-grandmother Annie Mae Fain, her brother Christopher E. Strickland, and her son Nashon Lamar Orr Sr.

She will forever be remembered by her smile and sense of humor.  She leaves to cherish her precious memories: her daughters, Erica (Tyrone) Harris of Douglasville, GA; Amonya (Chris) Dallas of Rome, GA; Lakicia Orr of Calhoun GA; her brothers, Walter Fain of North Carolina, Wayne Strickland of Atlanta, GA, Rusty Strickland of Atlanta, GA, Derrick (Shanelle) Strickland of Tampa FL; her sister Shelia Strickland of Atlanta, GA, Retipiles Strickland of Rome, GA and daughter in law LaSeanda Orr and long-time friend Bobby Joe Orr.

She leaves her blessing with: 23 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren along with a host of aunts, nieces nephews, cousins and numerous love ones and church family and friends.
